Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahu Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress (INC,) on the 1st of April, addressed public rallies in Telangana, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a huge public rally, which started at 5:00 P.M., at L.B. Stadium in Hyderabad and was attended by the residents of four Lok Sabha constituencies. The Lok Sabha constituencies covered by PM Modi were Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri and Chevella.

Recently, on the 29th of March, PM Modi launched his election campaign in Telangana and addressed a public rally in the Mahbubnagar constituency.

On the other hand, the INC also organised a public rally in the Zaheerabad constituency, in Telangana.

Rahul Gandhi addressed the public rally and launched the campaign of the INC in the State for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Telangana will contest a total of 17 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled on the 11th of April 2019.

The major parties contesting the Telangana Lok Sabha elections are the INC, the BJP and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)

The results of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
