
Amaravathi: On the holy occasion of Bakrid, Minister for IT and Education, Nara Lokesh, offered prayers at the Anjuman-e-Himayathul Darga in Mangalagiri, Amaravathi, on Monday.
Lokesh received a warm welcome from the Muslim community at the dargah, where he extended heartfelt festival greetings. Emphasizing the significance of sacrifice and charity in Islam, he remarked that Bakrid celebrates the profound sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim, who demonstrated unwavering obedience to Allah. In recognition of Ibrahim’s devotion, Allah provided a ram to be sacrificed instead, marking a pivotal moment in Islamic tradition.
After the prayers, Lokesh interacted with attendees, taking photos and listening to their concerns. He assured the community that he would address their issues promptly, emphasizing his commitment to taking remedial measures.Lokesh said that he will work hard for the betterment of Mangalagiri constituency and ensure that everyone will get the benefits of the government schemes. He thanked Muslims for keeping trust on him.
