In a shocking incident, a 75 year old man’s decomposed body was found in a flat in Hyderabad after almost a month of having been deceased. The man slipped and fell because of a lizard and suffered fatal head injury, reported the police on Friday.
The death of Lakshminarayana Murthy came to light after his wife and daughters returned home after a trip from the U.S. The man lived at Sai Maruti Residency in Rocktown area.
Reports suggest that the man died on the 18th of August and because the doors and windows of the top floor flat were closed the neighbors did not get any foul smell.
Murthy was not answering any phone calls from the wife and daughters and after nearly a month they decided to return to check on him.
The flat has a central locking system making it hard to tell if someone is in the flat or not. The family broke the door down to find Murthy’s body is a highly decomposed state.
Murthy’s daughter’s had asked him to come live in the U.S., with them but he declined. In July, he sent his wife to his daughters and said he preferred to live alone in Hyderabad.
