GHMC Provides 1 BHK Houses To Victims Of A Fire Accident

The GHMC provided 1 BHK houses to victims of a fire accident last week. On Thursday morning, a fire broke out in Patrika Nagar in Madhapur damaging more than 50 huts in Hyderabad. Fortunately, officials reported there were no casualties in the fire accident.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister K. T. Rama Rao instructed the GHMC to rehabilitate all the families. At a press release, the GHMC said, “The victims were to be provided with dignified housing, free of cost, and better living conditions which will be much safer than their current tarpaulin huts which are prone to fire hazards, as this was the second such fire accident in the past four months.” The civic body further announced the 1 BHK houses located in Ameenpura would be provided for free to the families.

The GHMC took the rehabilitation victims in TSRTC buses to the new houses in Ameenpura. The adults were given food while the children were given milk packets. The families were given food, water and other basic necessities needed to settle down in the flat.
