On Wednesday, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao announced health cards for all citizens of the State. At the Assembly, the CM said there would be free medical checkups under the new Telangana State Health Profile. He further added free eye camps will be set up for the cardholders within the next five months.
The CM said the 3.64 crore people living in Telangana will be greatly benefitted by the Telangana State Health Profile. KCR said, “From the Governor down to the common man and the Chief Minister to Ministers, everyone will be covered under this scheme without any bias based on caste, religion or socioeconomic standing.”
CM KCR further said each person’s medical data would be computerized allowing any doctor to access the records for an accurate health diagnosis. KCR also spoke about the insurance scheme to cover all the farmers in the State.
The Chief Minister also talked about the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubharak schemes which will give financial aid to girls. At present, the Government is providing Rs. 75,116 as financial assistance.
