Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K. T. Rama Rao said the Musi River Front Development works will begin in August. KTR stated a total of Rs. 1,600 crores would be sanctioned for the development of the river.
The Telangana Government is working towards improving the city’ infrastructure. KTR also said the Hyderabad Metro Rail from Ameerpet to LB Nagar would be launched by July end.
KTR was quoted saying, “Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will be launching the Metro services on the route.” He further stated a plan for the Metro from Nagole to Falaknuma is being prepared.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is also working towards improving the infrastructure. The GHMC is working on 5 different projects under the Strategic Road Development Program in LB Nagar. A total of Rs. 448 crores will be used for this development program.
Stormwater drains, sewage works and Internal roads will be constructed in the LB Nagar Constituency. The Government will also spend Rs. 2,000 crores to provide clean drinking water in the area.
