K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) started the Party’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
On the 6th of March, KTR addressed a public rally at SRR Degree College Ground in Karimnagar, Hyderabad.
Etala Rajender, the Health Minister of Telangana, was also present with the KTR at Karimnagar, to attend the public meet organised for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Rajender said, “We are conducting the first preparatory meeting for the LS polls in Karimnagar.”
Mr. Rajender also ensured, the TRS will give strong competition to the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by securing 16 Lok Sabha seats out of the 17 seats.
The preparatory meetings for the Lok Sabha elections, which started from the 6th of March, will last till the 17th of March.
After Karimnagar, the TRS will conduct meetings at Warangal, Bhuvanagiri, Medak, Malkajgiri, Wanaparthy, Chevella, Nizam Sagar, Secunderabad, Nizamabad and Adilabad.
Telangana will contest a total of 17 Lok Sabha seats, out of which, the TRS claimed, it will win, 16 seats, whereas one seat will be taken by the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM.)
The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled between April and May 2019 and the major parties contesting are the INC and the BJP.
