Modi Addresses Public Meeting In Nagaland

Today, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Tuensang, Nagaland. Later today, Mr. Modi is set to address a public meeting in Meghalaya. The election rallies in Nagaland and Meghalaya is an attempt to boost the Bharatiya Janata Partys’ (BJP) prospects of victory. Nagaland and Meghalaya will witness voting on the 27th of February.

There are 6 assembly seats in Tuensang district of Nagaland with the BJP covering 4 seats. The rest 2 seats are filled in by the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP.) The BJP General Secretary Gaangsilung said Modi will address an election rally at Tuensang. After addressing the rally in Tuensang, Modi will move to West Garo Hills district in Meghalaya. The West Garo Hills district is considered as the Congress bastion since 1972.
