On Tuesday night, Naxals attacked the Masudan Railway Station in Bihar. The Naxals torched the station and abducted two of the railway officials. Among the two officials abducted was the Assistant Station Master.
According to a news report, the Assistant Station Master called Malda DRM and explained the Naxals have threatened his life. The Station Master said the Naxals want the train on Masudan track to be stopped.
Officials asked the passengers to take an alternate route for the time being. So far no casualties have been reported and Officials are investigating the matter.
The Railway Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. CPRO Eastern Railway Rajesh Kumar stated the Kiul-Jamalpur-Bhagalpur rail services section has been stopped as precautionary methods. This is not the first time an incident such as this has taken place. Earlier this year, 20 Naxals hijacked a train in Lakhisarai district in Bihar. The Naxals kidnapped two of the cabin men disrupting the rail services for two lines.
