Amaravati: State Housing and Information Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy announced a strong commitment to advancing the food processing sector in partnership with the central government. At a conference organized by the Food Processing Society of India and the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) at Vivanta Hotel, Parthasarathy stressed the sector’s critical role in the state’s industrial growth.

The conference, supported by CII, aimed to raise awareness about the food processing industry’s potential. As the chief guest, Parthasarathy highlighted the measures taken by CM Chandrababu Naidu for industrial development, urging industrialists to invest in Andhra Pradesh. He assured them of numerous concessions and permits via a single window system, emphasizing the state’s rich coastal areas ideal for agriculture and food processing, promising significant employment opportunities and global recognition.

Ministry of Food Processing Additional Secretary Minhaj Alam noted substantial central government subsidies for developing the sector. DICCI National President Narra Ravikumar also called for state permissions and concessions, underscoring the potential of Andhra Pradesh’s coastal regions for food processing.
