K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, performed two days’ ‘yagnas’ at his farmhouse in the Yarraville village of Gajwel district, on Saturday and Sunday.

The puja or ‘Raja Yagna’ was organised before starting another campaign for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections. KCR, who is representing the Gajwel Assembly constituency in the elections, performed the ‘yagnas’ to win the elections.

According to sources, KCR performed rituals such as the ‘Raja Syamala Yagam’ and the ‘Chandi Yagam’ and ended with a closing puja known as ‘Poornahuti,’ today morning. The people present at the puja were his wife and family members.

According to mythology, a ‘Raja Yagna’ was performed for getting back kingdoms. It is said, the ‘yagnas’ performed were for promoting the welfare of the public and for taking forward development programmes.

KCR will start another campaign from today onward for the upcoming elections, which are scheduled on the 7th of December. The results of the election will be announced on the 11th of December.
