Telangana Police Ban Locals Assembling Around SSC Exam Centers

Today the Police Department of Telangana sent out a notice banning locals assembling around SSC examination centers. The notice dated 12th of March 2018 states no one is allowed to gather within 500 yards of any official Government exam center.

The order signed by IPS Officer Srinivasa Rao states the reason behind this is to maintain law and order and avoid riots disturbing the students. The order will be in force from 6:00 A.M., on 15th of March to 6:00 A.M., on 3rd of April.

This comes after a shocking incident in the city on Monday. A 12th standard student was hacked to death by four men on the Hyderabad Mumbai National Highway. The victim E. Sudheer was a 19 year old student from Pratibha Junior College at Kukatpally.

The boy was traveling to his exam center along with his two friends on a motorcycle. At around 8:30 A.M., the gang of four men on a motorcycle attacked the boys. They pulled Sudheer off the bike and starting stabbing him.

Naveen the main accused and another identified as Mahesh have been arrested. Locals chased the gang after the incident and alerted two traffic constables who caught Naveen. The other two men are on the run and the police have sent out a search operation to nab them.
