On Sunday, a woman was allegedly raped at Ramareddy Mandal in Kamareddy District in Telangana.
The police reported the victim and her husband had given a loan to a man named Vishnu. The husband and wife are farmers and had lent Vishnu Rs. 20,000 who vowed to return it.
The police further explained Vishnu and his friend Raju spoke to the husband and asked him to come to the mandal to collect his money.
But unfortunately, the man could not travel and instead sent his wife to collect the money.
The woman went to the mandal on Sunday and met the two who convinced her to travel to another spot. The two men told the woman they had to get the money from somewhere else and asked her to accompany them.
The report by the police also revealed the men stopped on the way to purchase alcohol claiming it was for all of them once they paid their debt.
The men then took the helpless woman to an isolated area and forced alcohol down her throat. The woman fell unconscious and claims the men raped her.
The woman was abandoned by the men and she called and informed her husband as soon as she gained consciousness.
The farmer couple filed a complaint at a police station. After which the woman was taken to a hospital for a medical examination and treatment.
SI Vinay Kumar at the Ramareddy Police Station reported to a news channel and said, “We have registered an FIR, and are awaiting the results of the medical test. A case has been registered under 376 D (Gangrape) of the IPC. While we have identified the residence of Vishnu, the duo are absconding.”
