Voting For The Two Constituencies Of Madhya Pradesh Start Today

Today, the voting for two constituencies of Madhya Pradesh (Kolaras and Mungaoli) started around 8 A.M. and will go on up to 5 P.M. A total of 22 candidates are in the fray for Kolaras district and 13 candidates for Mungaoli. The total number of people eligible for voting in Kolaras and Mungaoli are 2,44,457 and 1,91,009 respectively. The two assembly seats are a part of Scindia’s Guna Lok Sabha constituency.

The Congress candidate Mahendra Singh is up against the Bharatiya Janata Partus’ (BJPs) Baisahab Yadav for Mungaoli. For Kolaras, Congress’ Brijendra Singh is up against BJPs’ Devendra Jain. It is said around 3,000 poll officials are conducting the polling process at 575 booths. Electronic Voting Machines’ (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines are being used at the polling booths. An Election Commission (EC) Official said the votes will be counted on the 28th of February and results will also be announced on the same day.
