2019 Elections: BJP Chief Amit Shah Ask Baba Ramdev For Help

As the 2019 elections are nearing, BJP Chief Amit Shah met with Baba Ramdev and asked for help. Mr. Shah asked for Ramdev’s support in the 2019 National Elections. Amit Shah announced this would be part of a new Sampark for Samarthan campaign.

Mr. Shah told reporters, “I came to Baba Ramdev for his support. He patiently heard everything I had to say, I gave him literature about our work. If we get Baba Ramdev’s help, we can reach crores of his followers.”

The BJP Chief explained the Sampark for Samarthan or Contact for Support campaign will involve meeting with 50 personalities. These personalities are the ones who supported the BJP in the 2014 elections.

Mr. Shah also stated, “We are seeking blessings of those who were with us in 2014. We will meet one lakh people and reach at least one crore households.”

Apart from Baba Ramdev, Mr. Shah met constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap, cricket legend Kapil Dev and former Army Chief General Dalbir Suhag. Baba Ramdev was all smiles as he had only nice things to say about Modi’s 4 year Government rule.

The BJP party is in full swing preparing for the 2019 General Elections. The National Party has been setting up campaigns all around the country. At present the BJP rules 21 out of the 29 states in India. The party rules 70% of the Country but however failed to win in Karnataka.

The BJP party was the majority party but did not receive the half point seats to form Government. The Congress took the opportunity and formed an alliance with the JD(S) to form a government in the State.
