Mr. Gautam Adani, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Adani Group entered the list of the top 10 billionaires of the world with $137.4 billion.
On the 30th of August, Mr. Gautam Adani became the first Indian business tycoon chairman and first India to enter the list of the top three billionaires in the world. With this, Mr. Gautam Adani became the world’s third richest person after overtaking France’s Bernard Arnault according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Notably, Mr. Gautam Adani has a total net worth of $137 billion and has surpassed the wealth of Louis Vuitton chairman Mr. Arnault. The top two billionaires on the list are Mr. Elon Musk, the CEO Of Tesla and Mr. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, with net worth of $ 251 billion and $153 billion, respectively.
As per the index, Elon Musk continues to be the richest person in the world with a net worth of $251 billion.
Out of 10 billionaires on the list, eight are from the United States whereas, one is from India and another one is from France.
Furthermore, speaking about Mr. Gautam Adan, he is a first generation entrepreneur who founded Adani Group comprising 7 publicly listed entities with businesses spanning energy, ports and logistics, mining and resources, gas, defence and aerospace and airports. In each of its business areas, the Adani Group has established a leadership position in India with huge profit and employment.
The Adani Group is the third largest conglomerate (after Reliance Industries and the Tata Group) in India.
Listed Adani group companies are Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, Adani Power, Adani Total Gas, and Adani Transmission.
