Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, the President of the Samajwadi Party (SP,) announced not to contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly election in 2022.
During the media interaction, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav said,”Our alliance with RLD is final. Seat sharing is to be finalised.”
With this, it is clear that the SP is going to form an alliance with the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD,) to contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh (U.P.,) elections.
Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, who is also the SP Member of Parliament (MP) from Azamgarh said he will “not be contesting the assembly polls.”
With the assembly polls drawing closer, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has been campaigning in the state and mounted a sustained attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) claiming that the party has only looted the people of U.P., and would be wiped out in the upcoming election.
The Uttar Pradesh Assembly election is scheduled to contest 2022. The major parties in the fray are the BJP, the Indian National Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP,) and the SP in alliance with the RLD.
