Mr. Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, condemned the killing of a Rajasthan resident by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
On June 2, a Rajasthan resident Vijay Kumar, who is also a bank employee in Kulgam, was shot dead. Gehlot also criticized the BJP-led government which failed to restore the peace in the union territory. Ashok Gehlot said, “I pray to God to give peace to his soul and courage to his family.” He further added, “The killing of Mr. Vijay Kumar, a resident of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, working in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, by terrorists is highly condemnable. I pray to God to give peace to his soul and courage to his family.”
In addition, Mr. Ashok Gehlot, the Indian National Congress leader also criticized the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for failing to provide security to the people of India.
On the morning of Thursday, in Kulgam, a bank manager who hailed from Rajasthan’s Hanimangarh was shot dead by terrorists. The victim has been identified as Vijay Kumar, who worked at the Ellaqui Dehati bank, and was shot dead inside the bank premises.
Soon after the incident, Vijay Kumar was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Further details on the matter are awaited as the investigation is underway.
