The Delhi Government secretariat sacked Dr. Praveen Singh, an associate professor of cardiology from his services at the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital.
According to sources, on the 21st of March, Monday, Dr. Praveen Singh has been terminated from his contractual basis services, as per the direction of the Delhi Secretariat. Notably, the decision came after recent allegations of ‘medical negligence against Dr. Praveen Singh.
Recently, three patients with heart blockage died under the supervision or alleged medical negligence of Dr. Praveen Singh. Later, on the 10th of March, he was taken into custody for further investigation and was off from services.
It is to be noted, the state-run Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, received a notice from the Delhi Health and Family secretariat for the termination. The notice read, “… on recommendations of appropriate authority hereby orders the immediate termination of services of Dr. Praveen Singh, associate professor (cardiology) currently working on contract basis in Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty hospital.”
Meanwhile, the review committee formed to investigate the matter is yet to conclude the investigation and submit a report to the Delhi Government.
