In Uttarakhand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to form the State Government, after it secured a major win.
On the 10th of March, Thursday, the Election Commission of India (ECI,) after rounds of counting, announced the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government have secured 20 seats and is currently leading in 27 Assembly seats.
Leaders like Suresh Chouhan, Bishan Singh Chufal,
Pralhad Joshi, Pushkar Singh Dhami, Kailash Vijaybargiya and Ajay Bhatt during press meet at BJP office in Dehradun and expressed gratitude, after having a landslide victory, in Uttarakhand Assembly elections. In addition, Mr. Pralhad Joshi, the BJP incharge in Uttarakhand, said, the welfare schemes and development work of the BJP under the Pushkar Singh Dhami governance is one of the major reasons, behind this landslide victory in the State.
After 15th round of counting in Gangotri constituency, BJP’s Suresh Chauhan gets 28,677 votes, Congress’ Vijaypal Sajwan 21,040 votes and AAP’s Col. Ajay Kothiyal gets 5,998 votes.
The final announcement regarding the results would be the announced later today.
Meanwhile, the BJP leaders would address a conference at the BJP headquarters in Uttarakhand.
