New Delhi: On Saturday, Sheena Bora’s brother Mikhail Bora said that he was in Mumbai, when his sister, Sheena Bora was killed, according to reports. He said that Indrani Mukerjea had allegedly drugged him before Sanjeev Khanna and Indrani met Sheena on the day, they took her out. Indrani’s second husband Sanjeev Khanna confessed his role in the murder.
Mikhail said that Sanjeev and Indrani served him a spiked drink in the hotel room in Worli when they were discussing a property deal. He added that they left after giving him a drink and met Sheena and then murdered her.
Rakesh Maria, Mumbai Police Commissioner, said that they recovered the skeletal remains of Sheena Bora. He added that the police also recovered Sheena’s passport from Dehradun and the passport narrates the theory that she went to the United States.
Mr. Maria also told that Sanjeev Khanna, the third accused in the crime, has admitted to his complicity in the murder. He added that Mikhail also revealed few important details and they are investigating. The skeletal remains of Sheena are expected to dispatch for DNA tests on Saturday. The police investigation is underway and more details are awaited.
On April 24, 2012, Sheena was killed and when Indrani’s driver,Shyam Rai,revealed the murder site, the police found her body on May 23, 2012. Indrani and her driver were arrested on Tuesday on charges of killing Sheena and disposing off her body in Raigad in Mumbai. The court has sent the accused, Indrani, to the custody of police till August 31.
