On the 28th of May, Sunday, the Government of India would launch a Rs. 75 coin. The 35 gram coin would be launched to commemorate the inauguration of the new Parliament building.
Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, would launch the awaited Parliament building, on Sunday. The inauguration event would be attended by BJP leaders, opposition parties and Members of the Parliament (MPs) in Delhi.
As per sources, to mark the historic inauguration of the new parliament building, called the “temple of democracy” the Union Finance Ministry announced the launch of the 35 gram coin, which would be circular in shape with a 44 mm diameter.
The front side of the coin will feature the Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar with ‘Satyamev Jayate’ written below it. On the left side ‘Bharat’ will be written in Devanagari script while on the right side, India will be written in English It will also feature the symbol of Rupee and 75 written in international numerals.
On the upper periphery of the coin, Sansad Sankul will be written while Parliament complex in English on the lower periphery. Below Sansad Sankul, the year ‘2023’ will be inscribed in international numerals.
