Congress Parliamentarian Renuka Chowdhury decided to move a privilege motion in the Rajya Sabha on Friday. The privilege motion is against the Union Minister of State Kiren Rijiju for posting a video of PM Modi humiliating her in the Rajya Sabha.
During PM Modi’s speech at the Rajya Sabha, Congress MP Renuka began laughing about something the Prime Minister said. Reacting to that PM Modi said the last time he got to hear a laugh like that was in the Ramayana.
Rijiju pushed the joke further and added the caption “Despite such vexatious laugh by Renuka Chowdhury ji PM Narendra Modi ji didn’t get irritated.” Renuka was annoyed by the caption and said, “This is degrading to a woman and highly objectionable. I am going to move a privilege motion.”
On Thursday, the Rajya Sabha was forced to be adjourned within an hour as the opposition created ruckus over Modi’s statement.
