The NDA government has issued orders to make Vijay Mallya repay his loans with an interest of 11 percent. It has planned to make a law that will prevent the loan defaulter from fleeing the Country. The liquor king compared himself to a football that is being played with by ‘two fiercely competitive teams of NDA and UPA.

The alcohol baron said the Media has been used against him from the United Kingdom. Also, he slammed the current investigations by CBI and their efforts to extradite him from the UK. In a tweet, he said, “Media happily being used as the pitch. I am the football. Two fiercely competitive teams NDA versus UPA playing. Unfortunately, no referees.” He also said that the CBI has made ‘false and misconceived’ allegations against him and are diverting the country’s attention from more important topics. Mallya asked, “Am shocked at CBI allegations. All false and misconceived, to say the least. What do a bunch of elite Police know about business and economics?”
A non-bailable warrant was issued against Mallya by the CBI in regard to the Rs. 720 crore IDBI Bank loan default case. In regard to this case, the CBI is on trail of Mallya and trying to extradite him from the UK. In addition to this, Kingfisher Airlines owned by Mallya, which is now not functioning owes Rs. 9,000 crores to various banks. After this, the liquor baron has fled the country on March 2 in 2016. This has been the highest default of a loan that ED has registered in PMLA case till date in our Country.
