Finance Minister Arun Jaitley accepted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s apology. The latter Minister called Jaitley corrupt who in turn filed a defamation case. Recently, Kejriwal has been on apology spree to get away from the piled up defamation suits.

Mr. Jaitley filed two defamation cases against the Delhi CM seeking Rs. 20 crores as compensation. A few sources revealed Jaitley plans to withdraw both the cases in light of the apology.

The letter read, “Therefore, I unequivocally withdraw all the allegations made by me in a question whether made in print, electronic or social media against you. I offer my sincere apology to you and your family members for any harm caused to your reputation as a consequence of my allegation.”

The defamation case filed in 2015 named Kejriwal along with AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Deepak Bajpai, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh and Raghav Chadha.

Last month Kejriwal wrote three apologies to end more defamation cases. This is just the beginning for Kejriwal as he has his name written in about 30 defamation suits.

The earlier apologies were to Punjab ex minister Bikram Majithia, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Congress Leader Kapil Sibal’s son Amit Sibal.
