Farooq Abdullah, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has been hospitalised in Srinagar. The development came days after he tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
On the 3rd of April, Farooq Abdullah’s son Omar Abdullab took to Twitter and confirmed the news. He said, “Based on the advice of doctors to enable them to better monitor my father, he has been admitted to hospital in Srinagar. ” He further said, “Our family remains grateful to everyone for their messages of support & their prayers.”
Mr. Farooq Abdullah tested positive for the deadly virus on the 2nd of March, after taking the first jab of COVID-19 vaccine. The 85 year old former CM of Jammu and Kashmir was symptomatic and self isolated himself at his residence in Srinagar, Omar Abdullah and his family also isolated themselves until they tested negative for the Novel Coronavirus. He also urged anyone who had been in contact with the leader to get tested for COVID-19.
Hearing the news of Farooq Abdullah being hospitalised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other political leaders reached out to Omar Abdullah and wished for the speedy recovery of his father.
