Government: Chinese Incursion In Uttarakhand On July 19

New Delhi: On Wednesday, the Government said that last week Chinese troops infiltrated into Indian territory in Uttarakhand. The government added that they had face-off for nearly one long hour with the Indian soldiers and then both the sides have pulled back.

According to reports, the incursion took place in a grazing ground of about 80 square kilometres claimed by both China and India. Harish Rawat, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand had flagged the subject with the Centre. He told ANI that incursion took place in Chamoli district and the Central government will take a note of it.

Union Home minister Kiren Rijiju said, “We will seek a report.”
