On Monday, Patidar Leader Hardik Patel accused the BJP of tampering EVMs again. Addressing a Press Conference, Patel said, “The results of BJP winning signifies that EVMs were tampered during the elections. In Surat, Rajkot and Ahmedabad particularly, there are reports of 12 to 15 seats where the BJP has won massively due to EVM tampering.”
He further added, “I have been talking about this issue for the last three days. And I have read reports about EVM tampering as well. In Surat ward, where over one lakh Patidars live, they have informed us that EVMs have been tampered by the BJP.”
The Patidar Leader also pushed the Congress to take up the issue of EVM tampering. He said, “In the self interest of the people, the Congress should also do the same and raise the issue of EVM tampering.”
Hardik Patel threatened the BJP again and said he would not stop his fight against EVMs. The Patidar Leader also expressed he was not scared to go to jail again.
At the time of filing this report, the BJP party secured 66 seats and was leading in 33 seats in the Gujarat Assembly Elections for 182 seats. The Congress, on the other hand, is leading with 20 seats and won 57 seats.
In Himachal Pradesh, the Congress won 8 seats and is leading in 13 seats. The BJP secured 15 seats and is leading in 29 seats. The Himachal Pradesh Elections are for a total of 68 seats.
