Thirty five children were injured in a school bus accident, today. The bus, carrying 45 students, skidded off the road and overturned near Lunj in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
The injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital and are undergoing treatment. Five students were critically injured and shifted to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College Hospital in Tanda. Ten students suffered minor injuries and fractures and are being taken care of at a local primary health centre in Nagrota Surian.
The incident took place when the children were going in a private school bus belonging to a computer centre, to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Jan Abhar Rally,’ scheduled for today, in Dharamshala.
The children were students of a skill development course and were travelling from Nagrota Surian to attend the rally. The event was organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to mark the one year anniversary of the BJP Government in Himachal Pradesh.
