India COVID-19 Update: Reports 12,428 New Wuhan Virus Cases With 98.19 % Recovery Rate

On the 3rd of November, Wednesday, India recorded 11,903 new Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.

After reporting the lowest, below 11,000 cases of the Wuhan virus, on the 2nd of November, India reported a hike in the cases by 14 %. On the 2nd of November, Tuesday, the nation reported 10,423 new Wuhan virus cases, which increased by 1,520 cases since the past 24 hours.

Besides the 11,903 new cases, the nation recorded 311 fatalities and 14,159 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday morning. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the total cases of the Wuhan virus reached 3,43,08,140, of the total 1,51,209 are active cases, 3,36,97,740 are recovered/discharged cases and 4,59,191 are deceased cases till date.

The cases were confirmed after conducting a total of 11 lakh sample tests, taking the number of COVID-19 tests to 60 crores in India.

The updated figures of the Wuhan virus are available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

In addition, the national recovery rate of the Wuhan virus improved to 98.22 %, fatality rate is at 1.34% and active cases of COVID-19 are at 0.44%. India’s COVID-19 situation is improving with the precautions and measures taken by the Union and the state governments. The people’s contribution, who are following the COVID-19 appropriate behavior is also a major reason behind the new Wuhan virus cases being below 20,000. Active cases are also in check with under 2,00,000. It’s been 252 days since India reported below 20,000 cases.

On the other hand, over 107 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far including 41,16,230 doses administered within the past 24 hours. The vaccines were given under the nationwide vaccination drive. With the same speed, the Government of India is aiming to administer COVID-19 vaccine to 120 crore people by the end of December.

Meanwhile, the Central Government has provided 113 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses to various states and union territories (UTs) so far. As of now, more than 13.76 crore doses of COVID-19 doses are available with the Indian states and UTs.
