After reporting below 3,000 single day cases of the Wuhan virus, India, on the 4th of June, registered more than 3,500 Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus, cases.
On Saturday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed that India reported 3,962 new cases and 26 fatalities, in the past 24 hours. With this, India currently has 4,31,72,547 positive cases, of which 4,26,25,454 recovered/discharged cases and 5,24,677 fatalities till date. Furthermore, the active cases in India stood at 22,416. Compared to the 3rd of June, the active cases increased by 1,293 cases. On the 3rd of June, the number of active Wuhan virus cases stood at 21,177.
Notably, the active cases comprise of 0.05% and the national Wuhan virus recovery rate is 98.73% and the fatality rate is at 1.22%, till date.
Meanwhile, the cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive have been over 193.96 crores.
