The Indian Army commanders and officials are scheduled to conduct a week long conference in New Delhi.
The Army Commanders’ Conference, which is scheduled to begin on the 14th of October, will continue till the 19th of October.
The agenda of the meeting is to discuss security, terrorists and the Jammu and Kashmir issue with the Army officials.
Besides discussing security issues, the authorities are also expected to chalk down the future action plan across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
A spokesperson of the Indian Army said, “The apex level leadership of the Indian Army will brainstorm on current emerging security and administrative challenges and chart the future course for the Indian Army. To ensure due diligence, decisions are taken through collegiate system comprising Army commanders and senior officers.”
The high level Army commanders’ meeting usually takes place twice a year, in April and October. During the conference, the officials also design new policies and other measures.
General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of the Indian Army, will address the conference and start the meeting, following which, the Army commanders will give operational and administrative updates. They would further discuss the issues faced by the Army officials in their respective departments and regions.
The Army Commanders’ Conference will begin on the morning of the 14th of October.
