She said, “I am not a goddess. I want to be Chief Minister of Manipur.”

She added, “This is my life. I want equality.”

The 44-year-old activist also stated that she wants to marry as she has exchanged letters with Desmond Coutinho, who is a Goa-based British citizen. When asked if she was a woman in love, she replied, “It is natural.”

“I am being seen as a strange woman. Why can’t people see me as an ordinary person? I am cut off from everyone,” she said.
