Indian Sikh pilgrims entered Pakistan and went to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan.

On the 9th of November, the Pakistan Government inaugurated the Kartarpur Corridor for the pilgrims to travel to Pakistan and visit Kartarpur Sahib.

The inauguration was held on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism.

The first ‘jatha’ went to the Gurdwara on the day the Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated.  Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, inaugurated the Corridor in Pakistan, whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first batch of pilgrims from Punjab and opened the Corridor.  There were 500 pilgrims, including 117 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Member of Parliament (MPs,) in the first batch.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) and Captain Amrinder Singh, the Chief Minister of Punjab, also attended the inauguration with the pilgrims.
