Lok Sabha Adjourned Till 7:00 PM Amid Protest Over Farm Laws

On the third day of the Union Budget Parliament  session, the 2nd of February, the Rajya Sabha proceedings was disturbed.

The ongoing session in the evening witnessed a high voltage drama over the three contentious farm laws.

The Opposition parties including the  Indian National Congress, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK ) staged a walkout from the Upper House as their demand for suspension of business of the day was rejected by Rajya Sabha chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu.

Meanwhile, similar to the Rajya Sabha proceedings, evening’s Lok Sabha session witnessed dramatic scenes.

The session started at 4pm as the Houses are working in shifts due to the Novel Coronavirus pandemic but was adjourned till 5:00 P.M.

Later, again due to the protest on farm laws, the house was adjourned till 7:00 P.M.

The session would resume from 4:00 P.M., tomorrow, the 3rd of February.
