After a rise in petrol prices, Indian cities and states witnessed a rise in LPG cylinder prices too. 

On the 2nd of July, the Central Government announced a hike of Rs. 25 in LPG cylinders in several cities and states of India. The announcement came at a time when the citizens of India are struggling with the skyrocketing fuel prices. In many regions of India, fuel prices crossed a mark of Rs. 100.

Now, the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder prices also increased; it would now be available at Rs. 887. The revised prices came into effect from the 1st of July, Thursday. In addition, price of a 19 kg cylinder has also been increased by Rs. 76.

Previously, LPG cylinders were available for Rs.861 before the hike of Rs. 25.

The LPG cylinder prices are revised every month based on the international benchmark rate of LPG and the exchange rate of the United States of America (U.S.A.,) dollar and Indian rupee.

LPG Cylinders new rates:

Delhi – Rs. 834.50

Kolkata – Rs.861

Mumbai – Rs. 834.50

Chennai – Rs. 850.50

Hyderabad – Rs. 861.50

The rise in prices is applicable for both subsidised and non subsidised users.
