The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) declared Hafiz Mohammad Saeed’s son Hafiz Talha Saeed as a delegated terrorist.
The Mumbai 26/11 terror attack mastermind’s son has been declared under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, on the 9th of April, Saturday. Concerning this, the MHA issued a notification and stated Hafiz Talha Saeed was a senior chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and head of the cleric wing of the terror outfit. He was involved in the collection of funds, planning, and executing terrorist activities of the LeT and Indian interests in Afghanistan. The MHA notification read, “The Central Government believes that Hafiz Talha Saeed is involved in terrorism and Hafiz Talha Saeed should be notified as a terrorist under the said Act.
On the other hand, the development came on the day, when Hafeez Talha Saeed’s father Chief of LeT Hafeez Saeed was sentenced to 31 years in jail by a Pakistan anti-terrorism court docket.
Hafeez Saeed was the mastermind behind the Mumbai terror attacks of November 26, 2008, by which 166 individuals have been killed. He had been declared a terrorist beneath the identical legislation several years in the past and is at present serving a jail period in Pakistan on terror expenses.
