Monsoon Parliament Session To Commence Tomorrow

The Monsoon Parliament Session is scheduled to begin tomorrow on the 18th of July and end on the 10th of August. The Session will comprise of approximately 18 days depending on the internal conflicts.

The Government plans to stress on Constitutional Status for the National Commission for Other Backward Classes (OBC.) The hope is to pass the Constitution 123rd Amendment Bill, 2017 during this session.

Triple Talaq and the Transgender Bill are among the bills to be brought in the Monsoon session of the Parliament. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar announced the dates for the Session on Twitter. He also said he expects construction cooperation from each and every political party to make this session successful and productive.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will not be able to attend the crucial Parliament session. Jaitley is recovering from a successful kidney transplant and doctors have kept him under quarantine until he fully recovers.

During the Budget Session in March, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led by Chandrababu Naidu moved two no confidence motions against the Modi Government. The YSR Congress Party led by Jagan Reddy moved one notice against the Government. Both the parties were protesting against the Center for refusing a Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

Two minutes into the Lok Sabha and the House was adjourned till noon. As Speaker Sumitra Mahajan walked into the Lower House, the TDP members began sloganeering. Chairman Venkaiah Naidu attempted to calm the crowd who refused to listen. Speaker Mahajan then announced the House was adjourned till noon.

Unfortunately, the Rajya Sabha also failed to continue after the yelling and screaming by the TDP and AIADMK MPs. The Upper House was adjourned for the day. The Special category status issue between the Center and Andhra Pradesh Government is yet to be solved.
