The National Investigation Agency (NIA,) which is currently investigating the Udaipur Tailor Murder case, has conducted a raid in Hyderabad.
On the 5th of July, Tuesday, after the raid, the NIA detained a person, for his alleged links with the accused in the Udaipur killing. The detained man, said to be from Bihar, was picked up by a team of NIA officials from a hotel in the Santosh Nagar area, Hyderabad.
He was taken to the NIA office in Madhapur for questioning about the murder of Kanhaiya Lal and his links with the two accused, Riyaz Akhtar and Ghouse Mohammad. Notably, the raid was based on the pieces of evidence, collected from the phone of the main accused Riyaz, who killed Kanhaiya Lal. While searching Riyaz’s phone records, the NIA team found the number of persons (identity is yet to be known) detained in Hyderabad. With the help of a phone number, they found the records and traced the detained accused to be in Hyderabad.
Notably, on the 28th of June, two Muslim men beheaded Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor in Udaipur, for his supportive post for the suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ms. Nupur Sharma, over her Prophet Muhammed, remark.
