Lt. General Ranbir Singh, the General Officer Commanding in Chief of Northern Command, chaired a meeting with a group of security and intelligence agencies in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was called in the wake of the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The officials also assured the safety of the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir and said the troops of paramilitary officers are ready to face any kind of harmful situation in the State.
Jammu and Kashmir is still under curfew and cable TV, mobile network, internet services and all modes of communication are suspended in the State. The soldiers are on high alert in the Kashmir Valley, the Line of Control and other sensitive areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Northern Command took to Twitter and shared about the meeting.
The tweet said, “#Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, #ArmyCdrNC chaired a meeting of the core group of intelligence & security agencies at Srinagar; assured high level of readiness to thwart inimical designs; lauded synergized efforts of all stakeholders to ensure peace & security in Jammu and Kashmir (sic.)”

Senior Army officials, Jammu and Kashmir Police, paramilitary officers and intelligence officers attended the meeting called by the Army Commander.
