With just four phases left for the West Bengal Assembly elections, campaigning of the contesting parties intensified. Of the eight phases, four phases of the Assembly elections of West Bengal concluded on the 10th of April.  

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) are in a tough fight for 294 Assembly seats of West Bengal. Unlike every year, the BJP in 2021, strategized their campaigns aiming to win the elections and form the state government by dethroning the two time Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led TMC. The BJP’s national leaders like Amit Shah, Ravi Kishan, Yogi Adityanath, Manoj Tiwari, J.P. Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned non stop in West Bengal.

For the next phase, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah are scheduled to campaign in West Bengal today, the 12th of April. At 12:00 noon, the Prime Minister would address an election rally at Tallit Sai Centre in Purba Bardhaman district. After that, he would hold rallies in Kalyani University Grounds in Nadia district at 1:40 P.M., and the Barasat area of the North 24 Parganas district at 3:10 P.M.

Meanwhile, Amit Shah is scheduled to hold a roadshow in Kalimpong district at 11:30 A.M. Later, he would address a public meeting in the Dhupguri area of the Jalpaiguri district and in the Hemtabad Vidhan Sabha constituency. He is also scheduled to conduct a roadshow in Siliguri.

A roadshow in Kalimpong at 11:30 A.M.

-A public meeting at 1:40 P.M.,in Dhupguri

-A public meeting at 3:30 P.M., in Hemtabad

-A roadshow in Siliguri at 5:10 P.M.

Amit Shah has been in West Bengal since the 11th of April. On Sunday he held back to back roadshows and public meetings in West Bengal.

The West Bengal Assembly elections which started on the 27th of March, completed four phases on the 10th of April.

West Bengal would vote again a week later for the 5th phase, scheduled on the 17 of April.

The West Bengal Assembly elections are divided in 8 phases, the last three phases are scheduled on the 22nd of April, 27th of April and 29th of April. The counting of votes would take place on the 2nd of May.
