PM Modi And Political Leaders Express Condolence To Pranab Mukherjee’s Family

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other political leaders on the 31st of August, took to Twitter and expressed condolences to Pranab Mukherjee’s family.

On the evening of the 31st of August, former President of India and a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) passed away.

Mr. Mukherjee passed away at the age of 84, after being treated for a brain clot and the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. 

Mr. Mukherjee was admitted to an army hospital and was under observation in Delhi. 

According to the hospital authorities, since the 10th of August, his conditions were deteriorating and he underwent a brain surgery.

Post surgery he also developed lung infection and was critical. 

On the 31st of August, doctors treating Mr. Mukherjee warned, there was a decline in his condition and he was in septic shock due to infection in his lung.

Pranab Mukherjee’s death was confirmed by his son Abhijit Mukherjee. 

PM Modi said, “India grieves the passing away of Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee. He has left an indelible mark on the development trajectory of our nation. A scholar par excellence, a towering statesman, he was admired across the political spectrum and by all sections of society.”

Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India said, “Pranab Da’s life will always be cherished for his impeccable service and indelible contribution to our motherland. His demise has left a huge void in Indian polity. My sincerest condolences are with his family and followers on this irreparable loss. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.”

JanaSena Party of Andhra Pradesh tweeted about the demise of Pranab Mukherjee with a post, ”

భారత రత్న, మాజీ రాష్ట్రపతి శ్రీ ప్రణబ్ ముఖర్జీ (@CitiznMukherjee) గారికి అశ్రునివాళి.”

Subrahmanian Swamy, a member of the INC said, “I am in real grief for the passing away of Pranabda. I have known him since when I had just returned from Harvard and become IIT/D Professor in 1969. He was a very balanced educated mind, and I shall never forget that he, even after retirement came out to release my book RESET.”

Union Health Minister of India Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, ”

“I have seen vast,perhaps unbelievable,changes during the journey of life,that brought me from the flicker of a lamp in a small Bengal village to chandeliers of Delhi”

A humble man who rose to be our President !. ”
