Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India is all set to inaugurate the first phase of the Mahakaleshwar Temple corridor development project in Ujjain.
On the 11th of October, Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi would launch the 900 meter long Mahakal Lok Corridor, which would be a major boost to tourism of Ujjain, the holy city of Madhya Pradesh.
According to sources, ahead of the inauguration, a large size ‘shivaling’ covered in strands of ‘moli’ (sacred threads) has been placed below the grand gateway, the Nandi Dwar of the ‘Mahakal Lok’ corridor. Mr. Narendra Modi would officially unveil the ‘shivaling’ to symbolically mark the opening of the mega corridor for tourists. Constructed worth Rs.856 crores, the new corridor is 900 metre in length and is dotted with 108 ornate sandstone columns in a row with decorative ‘trishul’ design on top and ‘mudras’ of Lord Shiva. It also has gushing fountains surrounded by artistic sculptures of the deity as well as 53 illuminated murals depicting stories from the Shiv Puran.
Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Culture Minister shared a video showing spectacular drone views of the corridor. Taking to Twitter, Mr. G. Kishan Reddy said, “Jai Mahakal The first phase of the Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor of Ujjain is all set to be inaugurated by Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji tomorrow 11th, October (sic.)”
Meanwhile, speaking of the schedule of Mr. Narendra Modi, his chopper will land at a helipad located in the Police Line campus here. Moreover, mega arrangements have been made for the arrival of Mr. Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to inaugurate the corridor at 5:30 P.M., in Ujjain.
Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, recently visited Ujjain and took the stock of the preparations in the City.
