Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress Party (INC) has allegedly violated security rules for 113 times, during his Bharat Jodo Yatra.

On the 29th of December, Thursday, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) pointed out that Mr. Rahul Gandhi violated security protocols.  The statement of the CRPF came after Mr. K.C. Venugopal, the General Secretary of the INC, wrote to Mr. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister of India, over a security breach during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi, last week.

Reacting to the letter and allegations of the security breach of Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the Delhi Police Spokesperson Kumar Gyanesh said, “As per the arrangements made by us, there were no lapses or issues.  There was overcrowding yet we managed it for the entire Delhi yatra.  Security of Rahul and Sonia Gandhi was under CRPF.  We don’t look into it.  The arrangements made for security and for traffic were planned and executed perfectly.”

Meanwhile, the CRPF officials wrote to Mr. K.C. Venugopal and said, “In their letter, the CRPF has informed the Congress that the security arrangements have been fully made for Rahul Gandhi as per the guidelines.”

Furthermore, as of now the Rahul Gandhi led INC delegation halted their nationwide Bharat Jodo Yatra.  It would resume again on the 3rd of January, from Haryana.  Launched in September, the Bharat Jodo Yatra is a massive mission of Rahul Gandhi and the INC, aiming to raise voice against the misrule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government, unemployment in India and hike in prices of essential commodities, trouble middle class people.

The yatra started from Tamil Nadu and covered Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi.  Soon, on the 3rd of January, the Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra would enter Haryana, Punjab and then Gujarat.
