The Rajasthan Assembly elections were held on the 7th of December. The State recorded voter turnout of 73.84 %. The counting of votes is underway since 8 A.M., today. Any Party seeking power in the Assembly must gain a majority seat mark of 100 out of 199 seats.
At 10:00 A.M.: In the Rajasthan Assembly, the Congress party is leading with 81 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) so far acquired 52 and 2 seats respectively, out of the 199 seats.
At 10:30 A.M.: The Congress party is leading with 89 seats, while the BJP and the BSP secured 75 and 2 seats respectively, out of the 199 seats.
At 10:54 A.M.: The Congress party is leading with 92 seats, while the BJP and the BSP secured 75 and 3 seats respectively, out of the 199 seats. Krishna Poonia from the Congress party, representing the Sadulpur constituency, is leading by 646 votes.
At 11:40 A.M.: The Congress party is leading with 94 seats, while the BJP and the BSP secured 80 and 4 seats respectively, out of the 199 seats. Rashtriya Loktantrik Party leader Hanuman Beniwal is leading in Khinvsar by 1,345 votes.
At 11:55 A.M.: The Congress party is leading with 94 seats, while the BJP and the BSP secured 81 and 4 seats respectively, out of the 199 seats.
At 12:10 P.M.: Congress party leads with 95 seats, while the BJP only secures 81 seats. “People voted against BJP. This is people’s verdict, victory of democracy over injustice,” says Mamata Banerjee.
At 12:32 P.M.: The number of seats held by the Congress party dropped to 92 seats, 8 seats less than the majority mark of 100. The BJP currently holds 82 seats.
At 12:50 P.M.: The Congress party leads with 95 seats, while the number of seats held by the BJP went down by 3 and touched 79.
At 12:58 P.M.: The Congress party currently holds 94 seats and the BJP, 82 seats.
At 1:30 P.M.: The seats secured by the Congress party increased from 94 to 101, while those held by the BJP dropped from 82 to 75.
At 1:45 P.M.: The seats held by the Congress party dropped to 98, while the seats secured by the BJP plunged to 77.
At 1:58 P.M.: The number of seats secured by the Congress party jumps to 102 and the BJP’s drops by 5 to become 72.
At 3:10 P.M.: The Congress party leads with 101 seats, while the BJP holds 73 seats. Vasundhara Raje (BJP,) Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot (Congress) won the seats in Jhalrapatan, Tonk and Sardarpura respectively.
At 5:20 P.M.: The Congress party is leading with a majority of 102 seats. The number of seats held by the BJP took a dip and touched 70.
