On the 21st of February, Monday, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi announced an ex gratia to Kota road accident victims.

According to the Tweet of Mr. Narendra Modi announced Rs. 2 lakh for the families of victims who lost their kin in the Kota road accident. Whereas, an amount of Rs. 50,000 has been announced for injured.

The Tweet posted on the official Twitter handle of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) read, “Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF (Prime Minister National Relief Fund) would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in a tragic accident in Kota. The injured would be given Rs 50,000: PM @narendramodi”

In addition, the Prime Minister of India also expressed his condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in the accident. He said, “The accident in Kota, Rajasthan is very painful. I express my condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in this. May God give them the strength to bear this immense sorrow.”

On the 20th of February, Sunday, a car fell into the Chambal river in Kota, Rajasthan, resulting in the death of 9 people and leaving a couple of them injured. The wedding car carrying the bridegroom fell into the river after the driver lost control over the vehicle due to fog. The case has been registered under Nayapura Police Station, under Superintendent of Police (SP) Kesar Singh Shekhawat.

All the deceased has been identified as Avinash Valmiki (23,) the bridegroom, his brother Keshav (30,) car driver Islam Khan (35,) Kushal (22,) Shubham (23,) Rohit Valmiki (22,) Rahul (25,) Vikas Valmiki (24) and Mukesh Gochar (35.)

Besides PM Modi, Mr. Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan also announced an ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh to the families who lost one kin, whereas Rs. 5 lakh to those who lost two members.
