Mr. Denis Manturov, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister started his India tour, on Monday, the 17th of April. The Russian Deputy PM and the Trade Minister of Russia arrived in India on a two day visit primarily to attend an inter governmental meeting on trade, culture and science and technology.
According to sources, Mr. Denis Manturov would co chair an inter governmental Russian India Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. He would be accompanied by Mr. S. Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India in this Commission trade meeting. He would also attend a plenary meeting of the inter governmental commission (IGC,) which would be held on the second day of his visit, the 18th of April, Tuesday.
In addition, during the meetings, the two sides would discuss a range of issues of bilateral trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation
Later, Mr. Denis Manturov would also meet with the business representatives from both countries, Russia and India and talk ties of trade.
