The political issue between the Shiv Sena party and its Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) intensified on the 22nd of June, Wednesday.
Despite the efforts of the Shiv Sena Spokesperson Mr. Sanjay Raut, Mr. Eknath Shinde, and rebel MLAs of the party are not in the favour of the Shiv Sena.
Notably, Mr. Eknath Shinde, the State Cabinet Minister in Maharashtra and a senior leader of the Shiv Sena, asserted to have the support of 40 MLAs of Maharashtra, which is said to be a threat to the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA,) an alliance of the Shiv Sena, the National Congress Party and the Indian National Congress.
Furthermore, Mr. Sanjay Raut in a tweet, hinted at the dissolution of the Maharashtra Assembly, amid the political crisis. The tweet posted on the evening of the 22nd of June, read, “The ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra is heading to the dissolution of Vidhan Sabha.”
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Uddhav Thackeray and the National Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar are conducting back-to-back meetings to take stock of the situation and hope for positive development.
