On the 7th of December, the South Central Railway (SCR) finally approved a special train (06340) over Kadiri-Anantapur-Guntakal stations. 

Gorantla Madhav, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Hindupur, with his efforts made this special train approval possible. Aware of the problem of the districts, MP Madhav took the initiative and explained the problem to the Centre and Railway officials to which the SCR has given the green signal for the halting at Anantapur.

After getting a green signal from the SCR, the special train would ply between Nagercoil and Chhatrapati Terminal four days a week.

The train would leave Nagercoil every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and would enter Anantapur district through Madanapalle.

The stations between would include Kadiri, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal while in the return.

it will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and will pass through the aforementioned districts.
