On the 28th of March, Monday, Mr. Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, took oath as the member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly (MLA.)
Besides the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mr. Yogi Adityanath, the Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Mr. Akhilesh Yadav also took oath as the MLA of Uttar Pradesh Assembly. While, Mr. Yogi Adityanath has been named as the legislative leader of the BJP, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav is the leader of the SP.
Furthermore, in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, which concluded on the 7th of March, Yogi Adityanath won from the Gorakhpur Assembly Seats, whereas Mr. Akhilesh Yadav won from the Karhal Assembly constituency.
Notably, the Uttar Pradesh Protem speaker Mr. Ramapati Shastri administered the oath to the members in the House.
